Excellent!Bought for my daughter (15) who is a bit of a pronator and recently tore a muscle in her foot. After she finished a lot of rehab, these shoes have been perfect to maintain a good level of support to prevent re-injury during strength training sessions. Previous shoes were not support shoes and likely the cause of injury.ASICS are my go to running trainer brand. Having tried many others then only one that comes close for me is New Balance. However, when it comes to a cross-trail shoe you cannot beat ASICS.I find Solomon and Inov-8 trail shoes too rigid however ASICS have perfected the balance between a semi-rigid supporting trainer and a trainer that gives enough flex to feel comfortable. Whilst these trainers would maybe not be suitable for the most rugged or terrain they are perfect for muddy trails, through field jaunts and general off-roading. They give me more grip than my road running shoes but they are not heavy or bulky. They are equally comfortable when running on paved sections of races. When buying a road running trainer I tend to go up between half and one full size but for trail running I go up between 1 and 1.5 sizes. These shoes are a full 1.5 sizes larger than my usual but with the thicker trail socks I wear I find that this is perfect, especially when running down hill. I have a slightly wide foot but ASICS has always suited this. The quality of the shoe is great and I really like the laces, they tie securely and as they are traditional laces you can vary the tightness at different parts of the foot.Shoes were too small ( I've ordered ASICS before and I'm a 5.5). Had to return these and get 6. The seller doesn't cover the return fee ( which is a bit ridiculous, having in mind I bought a new pair with them anyway). Tried to reason with them, no success. Didn't like the costumer support at all. Wouldn't buy from this seller again.Comfortable, as all my previous Asics trainers. Bought the black ones so they look a little smarter than white or coloured ones. Wore them for a 3 week holiday. No blisters or comfort problems at all. The only thing I would say against them is the thin material over the toes, I cut a hole in this every time.** Updated** beware the new technology and fit as this seems to have impacted me and caused a injury to my tendon (6 weeks out so far). Im not totally blaming these new models as these are my 7th model upg in this range over the years IVe gone form model to another with small issue...However my physio has advised that it has contributed to it. I need to be careful going forward that the change is not too big for me. The past few versions of the Kayano have been a slight narrower fit that has suited me however Ascics have now gone back to the traditional style shoe again slighter more space in the front end this is ok for me but i do have narrow feet. Good shoe good fit stick to the normal size. Not sure about the new technology yet but they feel ok after about 20k so far.The pricer these trainers was around £68.00. but the quality comfort and cushioning was sadly lacking. the tops seem tacky and the cushioning around the top lace holes is poor so it digs into your ankles...unless you wear thick socks. i always wore a size 3....now have to buy 3.5. Asics are making all trainers far too small for uk sizes compared to a few years ago. its a real shame that great trainers are more expensive but smaller and not worth buying anymore.
